How do I order a Commission?

Simply fill out the commission form below and I will be in touch within 48 hours to confirm your order. Once your order is confirmed, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required before I begin the process of creating your special piece. I will step you through the process of paying the deposit and organising/sending photos.

How long until I receive my commission?

Generally 4-6 weeks, depending on how many commissions I have on the go. If you require it faster, I can often move things around to accommodate this - just get in touch to organise.

If your commission is not required until later in the year or not until Christmas, you can pay your deposit and that secures your spot for this year, with final payment not required until your artwork is finished at a time that suits you (giving you plenty of time to save up).

What is the cost?

The cost for a one of a kind commission is $390. This is fully inclusive including: preliminary sketches, actual painting and pen work, varnishing/ready to hang and shipping, as well as all correspondence, any changes and all materials. Each artwork takes around 40 hours to complete from start to finish, then add on the cost of materials and shipping - when this is broken down it is exceptional value for money!

What is my commission painted on?

Your artwork comes on a 40cm x 50cm x 3.5cm deep edge stretched canvas, varnished and ready to hang. All 4 sides are painted, giving it extra dimension and alleviating the need for framing. Other sizes can easily be organised, but of course the cost will be different according to size - please get in touch to discuss different options. At present, I am only offering acrylic commissions (not gouache).

What do I need to provide?

I work from photos, so I will require photos and the address of the commissioned piece. Any close up/detailed photos of windows/doors/special details are appreciated too as well as different angles/aspects of the premises. I also sometimes work from Google maps and real estate photos if available.

What is the process?

After receiving the photos, I sketch out the image and send that to you for approval. Any changes/additions are best made here. Once the sketch is approved, the image is then drawn on to the canvas and painting begins. Once all colours are in, pen work begins to add in all the details and really bring the work to life. You will receive progress photos and correspondence along the way. Once completed, a final photo is sent for final approval and the work is then varnished and made ready to hang. At this stage the remaining 70% costs are required to be paid, then your artwork is wrapped and shipped off to you.

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs are included in the cost. Shipping is with Australia Post (unless otherwise organised) and is insured and tracked.

Payment options/ideas

I accept most payment methods and also offer PayPal and Afterpay so you are able to pay in instalments.

Another great idea is to get a group of friends or family together and each contribute a percentage to the artwork making affordability easier.

If you require more payment options, please do not hesitate to contact me to organise an option that suits you.
